Video of the week

I'm a huge fan of Paramore and I've become addicted to this song. The Twilight album comes out in like 2 weeks and I'm so excited! I'm trying like crazy to get tickets to the midnight premiere on November 21st. Cross your fingers and hope that there are tickets available. Anyway enjoy the vid for the week.

So this week we are going to have two videos. One is the new Twilight trailer that came out this past friday and the other is my usual video of the week. Enjoy them both!

Picassa! Warped Pictures!

So this week we learned about how to use Picassa to manipulate our pictures that we took. I thought it was really cool that I could crop my pictures or I could make them black and white or sepia tone. I've taken a photography class and it takes special film or a special chemical bath to create that same effect on film. And yet with the click of a mouse I can do that in an instant. No buying special (and usually really expensive film) or having to mix chemical baths that stink to high heaven. Technology is such a cool thing!

A much overdue Video of the week

My aunt showed me this scene from the new Twilight movie that's coming out next month. I think it's kinda cute. I wish I had someone who would dance with me. Bella is so dang lucky!

PowerPoint!

This week we learned about using PowerPoint. It's a really good tool for lectures and you can use pictures, media, and interactives to keep the students engaged in your lectures. Technology really has something to offer us in teaching. We can use technology to our advantage and really get and keep our students attention and interest. I also finished my UEN site this week! YAY! That's one more stress off my shoulders.
